FALL RECAP 2023 - Grateful Seattle Portrait Photographer
I just want to thank you all for a beautiful and busy, fall! I'm so grateful to have witnessed and documented SO MUCH BEAUTY and LOVE!
CONSIDER THIS MY HOLIDAY CARD, AND MY THANK YOU CARD all in one.
Fall was full of full family sessions, some minis, couples, a few weddings, I got to photograph a beautiful sound healer, a pinch of boudoir in the studio, some motorcycle sessions, and few travel sessions. As I look through all of these incredible experiences, I feel a little emotional. I remember when this was just my dream. Sometimes I wanted to quit. I would compare myself to others, I would tell myself that I am “not a business woman” along with all of the fears and doubts that come with this beautiful human experience.
At the end of my busiest season ever, my head is spinning. Did that just happen? Did I really just photograph 52 families in the fall+ many other amazing sessions? I need to pinch myself.
What are the biggest changes I have seen in my business in 2022-23?
I got brave and raised my prices a little, and my people still hired me.
I got more tips than ever. So many texts saying “you went above and beyond for us” My heart explodes.
77 five star reviews on google that make me want to cry.
More business, more word of mouth.
Learning video was a game changer, I cannot wait to expand my knowledge.
95 percent of my clients hire me for my ARTISTRY rather than as a “service provider”
My mindset feels much stronger. I’ve been into personal development for about 5 years now and I love what I have learned about myself, and I love the creativity and kindness I have unleashed. For me, gratitude is the greatest gift I have found. Through this practice, I see the beauty in every person that I photograph, and for all the moments I get to be here on this planet.
What are my business goals for next year?
To improve my skills in general, always.
To bee booked 6 months to a year out. I’ve been saying this for a few years, it will come true eventually I know it.
To stay super busy in ALL of the seasons not just fall.
To drum up some business in Sedona Arizona and Missoula Montana, and make yearly trips to shoot there.
Artists Point, Washington.
I will be offering a few fall sessions up here next September! Hit me up, and check out my recent blogs about it.
I love visiting animal sanctuaries and supporting them by giving them free photo shoots. It’s my way of giving back to a cause that I am super passionate about, ANIMALS! Madison Grove Farm.
