Hello! Thanks for being here. First off- a little bit about this gorgeous location.

Watson Lake is one of two reservoirs at the Granite Dells, in Prescott, Arizona, that was formed in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a dam on Granite Creek. The City of Prescott bought the reservoir and surrounding land in 1997 to preserve it as recreational land. Originally inhabited by the Yavapai tribe, Prescott was inhabited by European settlers in the 1860s.

This woman is so stunningly beautiful. I met her at the Sedona Film Festival and we exchanged numbers and said, let’s do a hike! We were texting back and forth for 2 weeks a little bit. I found this location outside of Prescott, Arizona online and instantly NEEDED to go there and make some art. I texted Nicole, her being one of the few people I know in Sedona. It was a lot to ask, 3 hours in the car round trip plus shooting with someone you didn’t know. But Nicole said yes.

We met at her friend’s photography studio and he kindly let us pick out a dress to borrow. I brought a bag of things, she brought a bunch of her stuff, and we sorted it all out once we got to the lake. I was nervous that my dog Ezme would try to drink the water there, turns out it’s toxic. But we landed way above the water and we had the place to ourselves. When we got there the lighting was MAGICAL. Just a pop of sun to light Nicole up, and the clouds were super dreamy. I’ll let you look. I had ZERO idea that she had modeling experience. When she got in front of the camera, she JUST NAILED it. I was blown away by her movement and beauty. She was very much herself, and you can see that in her eyes.

Nicole is of the Navajo People, she grew up in Sante Fe, and currently lives in beautiful Sedona Arizona.
