Capturing Candid Moments: The Art of Connection- Seattle Family Photographer

This family photo session at Lincoln Park is dedicated to the moms or parents who think that their kids cannot last through a family photo shoot. Everything was moving and changing, we had dancing, laughing, melt downs, all of it. This beautiful mom told me that when they got in the car-her and dad said to each other ….the girls were crazy !! Did we get anything at all?

This is normal! I say let the kids be kids. We do our best to guide them, but some days are no nap days, or struggle bus days, and with toddlers we don’t always get to know. My style of family photography is capturing the connection between you. I do take a few photos of you all smiling and looking at the camera, but we move on to more fun, relaxed, crazy, funny, or emotional images.

I ABSOLUTELY love the colors this family chose. Look how beautiful they look with the green trees. Blue, brown, rust, and a few cute patterns. LOVE IT!

In the PNW, it’s always nice to bring a few sweaters as a back up plan if it’s chilly. I will not tell you what to feed your kids, but I will say that the effects of sugar are instant! So if you want to keep the crazy and the crash level down, save the treats for the end. Just a tip, not required:)

Don’t forget a snack and a drink, and any rewards(bribes?) you can think of to pull out of your pocket when needed.
