To me, there is nothing ordinary about the magic of motherhood. Even though we see it every day.
Life-Changing Love.
A first baby introduces a level of unconditional love that is unparalleled. The bond formed is deeply emotional and life-affirming. I don’t take documenting this time lightly.
We chose Deception Pass State Park to meet up and make some maternity magic. This growing family lives on Whidbey Island and I am in Seattle, so we met up north. I love shooting in new locations. I have been here a handful of times to explore but this was my first shoot here. S brought 3 outfits (4 if you include panties) and we brought them in a bag and set out to play. We got very lucky with the weather being a winter December day for the shoot. We did this shoot on the day of a super moon, so I knew it would be special.
S and I had a phone chat a few months prior to talk location, a date, and what to wear. I always suggest colors that match or “pop” in nature. She nailed it. These two (well three) were so much fun to work with.
I am always an advocate of showing that beautiful belly in all of its magical magnificence. Women’s bodies are amazing, creating life is such a gift.
Beneath the moon’s soft, silver glow,

Maternity photo sessions in the Pacific Northwest or in Sedona are among my favorites. The shape of that belly is just so beautiful to me. The idea that a tiny cell can grow into a fully formed human being is extraordinary. Witnessing this process evokes wonder and reverence in me - being a woman without kids. It will never stop amazing my storytelling mind. Thank you for being here.
Maternity Sessions are 950. First I take a 200 booking deposit, then we choose a date and location and I help style you. The remaining balance is due the day we shoot. I guide and pose you the entire time, as well as grab moments that just unfold. My superpower is making people feel comfortable in front of my camera. Me being a huge dork is to my benefit.
I send 10-15 sneak peaks the following day- and a full gallery of edited image in 5-7 weeks or sooner. A typical gallery is 70-100 images.
