Nature Witch and author Rachel Griffin- Seattle Creative Branding Photographer

It was such an honor to work with Rachel Griffin. I feel as though manifested her during the pandemic, as I came to realize that I wanted to work with creative people who are in alignment with my style of photography. Oh the things that come to light in the stillness.

Helping artists brand themselves is something I am very passionate about, especially when we share the same vision. I love photographing woman out in nature in an artful way. Rachel Griffin is an extremely creative soul who writes books about witches!! (and more) She is such a talent- and she has a new book coming out August 1st 2023! I am so excited to read “Bring Me Your Midnight” and you can pre-order on her website -and I linked that below at the end of this blog. This book is describes as “A spellbinding romantic fantasy about a girl who meets an outcast boy and secretly learns his forbidden magic, which could save her island home but cost her everything else in the process.” Sign. Me. Up.

The weather was very moody on the day of our shoot. Luckily, I know that Rachel loves this as it says so on her website that “she adores moody skies and thunderstorms, and hopes more vampires settle down in her beloved state of Washington.” How do I put into words how much I love that?

Well Rachel, at the risk of sounding selfish, when the Vampires do come- I hope they need a photoshoot.

With me.

And if they happen to turn me, I shall continue to create imagery throughout the ages, even if only at night.

“The Nature of Witches is unlike anything I have read before. With its wholly original take on witches, thought-provoking commentary on climate change, and a swoony romance I would die for, Griffin has crafted a magnificent debut that will have readers on the edge of their seats. To put it simply — I'm obsessed with this book!”

Rachel choose a dress by Christy Dawn - a brand that I absolutely love! We chose Discovery Park as a location, one of my very favorite places to shoot.
