A woman empowerment photoshoot can be a powerful and inspiring way to celebrate your strength, resilience, and your achievements.

Why should you treat yourself to a photoshoot?

A self embracing -women empowerment photoshoot can empower you by boosting confidence, celebrating your unique self-expression, creating positive memories, telling your story, breaking stereotypes, fostering connection, embracing vulnerability, setting goals and intentions, inspiring others, and feeling empowered by the process itself.

EMBRACE VULNERABILITY ?!

“I’m going to live in the arena. I’m going to be brave with my life. I’m going to show up.”

– Brené Brown

Embracing self-love is a profound journey of acceptance, appreciation, and compassion towards yourself. This involves acknowledging your beauty and worth, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, and nurturing a positive relationship with oneself. No matter who you are, you’ve come a long way. Why not accept yourself as you are and celebrate. I am speaking to woman of all ages. This session was with a woman in her late 50’s. Some call that Crone Energy, and I AM HERE FOR YOU.

“How many of you want more love, intimacy, joy, in your lives? You can’t have that, if you don’t let yourself be seen. How can you let yourself be loved if you can’t be seen?”

In essence, embracing self-love is a transformative journey that starts from within. It's about treating oneself with kindness, respect, and love, and recognizing that true happiness and fulfillment come from cultivating a deep and unconditional love for oneself.

Here are some tips for planning a women empowerment photoshoot:

If you’re shooting in Sedona be sure to wear colors that are cohesive with the landscape. Ivory is my favorite, black has good contrast, and we can get creative with other colors as well, just ask first. I have a woman coming for a photoshoot in a gold dress soon, so excited for that color with the red! Think about shoes in the desert. Sunset or sunrise is the best time for light, so it could be chilly. Tracey brought a little wine and a big fuzzy jacket to keep her warm. I love hats and scarves. Flowy things and textured things. Bring a bag with a few changes. If you play an instrument and can carry it, bring that. If you love to read, bring a pretty book.

This was Tracey’s birthday week, and since a woman on her birthday can have what she wants, she brought her best friend along on the shoot for a few fun shots together. We decided on some hilariously cute matching jumpsuits with gold stars, something they were going to wear to a dress up party that Saturday.

“True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are, it requires you to be who you are. And that’s vulnerable.”

At the end of our shoot, we got a little witchy for some extra fun. Thanks for being amazing Tracey!
