Creative Portrait Session -Seattle Fine Art Photographer

A celebration of the flow of life. Join me for an empowering creative session with Stephanie.

For no reason and every reason.

It was BEYOND a pleasure working with this woman. We talked about her amazing elopement in Norway and her wonderful husband. How they were literally above the clouds getting photographed. I LOVE her gorgeous dress from Christy Dawn she chose to wear for our shoot. We decided Lincoln Park was the best backdrop, A.K.A- my “studio.” We played with the sun, the ferns, the nature.

Stephanie told me about a great podcast “Spooked” -and I gave it a listen that very night, and most nights since. I will let her speak about herself in her own words, scroll to see and hear this amazing woman.

This felt like a walk with a friend.

“I’m a long-time admirer of the practice of photography and how a certain feeling or energy can be captured in a frame that moves you beyond a static image. As an adult, I rarely feel like I’ve been captured in a photo in a way that makes me feel like it’s me. I celebrated another birthday in my fleeting and wonderful (and challenging) 30s and I had a thought - when I look back on my life as I age, I want to be able to have a keepsake that makes me think - that was me! That’s who I was.

I reached out to Dawndra for a portrait session without any specific occasion in mind, but in a practice of self love. I reached a certain milestone in life, and felt like after a couple years of deep personal, emotional and spiritual growth, why not work with a professional to capture an image of me? If your physical form is a representation of your unique resonance in a specific time and space, then I had never felt more beautiful. And it’s been a long road to embrace that feeling without self criticism, something I think many women struggle with.

With all this in mind, I chose Dawndra for her clear connection to something beyond the material world and her startling beautiful, ethereal images. The entire experience was a serene walk through nature where I felt like myself, with her direction and guidance to help put me at ease. The resulting work is just stunning, and I have a collection of photos that a future version of me can reflect on this time of my life and appreciate where I was - gratitude in a way only time can gift to you. Thank you to Dawndra for being up for the task and delivery on the tall order, and for her beautiful work that I will keep with me always.”

Thank you Stephanie, this is truly inspiring!
