Snowy Anniversary Photo Shoot- Seattle Adventure Photographer

This shoot was epic, fun, and a little bit COLD, and one hundred percent worth all of the work! Lindsey hiked with three dresses and changed from her hiking clothes in the freezing snow at the top. As painful as it was, it was beautiful. And I can’t complain as I stayed in my cozy clothes, just watching her was painful! Proud of you lady.

Planning a hike like this in the PNW can be a little bit stressful, especially when the couple lives in New York, and there is no room for a back up day. I watched the weather for weeks like a hawk. Sometimes it said it was going to rain, sometimes it said snow. I just kept thinking, please no rain, and if you come rain, be light!

Lindsey and Tom met at a mutual friend's house on Thanksgiving Day in 2010. Lindsey's mischievous dog stole the pumpkin pie that day, and Lindsey crushed Tom in bananagrams . They started dating a year later and 5 years to the day they met, Tom proposed on Orcas Island. Both of their families live on the East Coast so the two of them would always have a little Washington getaway with their dogs for Thanksgiving every year. After living in Seattle for 6 years they moved back to the East Coast in 2020 but came back to Seattle to visit for this Thanksgiving. It was so special to take some anniversary photos on top of the same Mountain we had our engagement photos at. And so fitting that it was cold and snowy as they now live in upstate NY with cold snowy winters!
