My Latest Seattle Mini Session - Seattle Family Photographer
Hello! Just a little check in here about my mini sessions and a sneak peak of the one I shot just the other evening. This beautiful family drove from Tacoma to West Seattle to see me. They were worried to keep their little one happy for a 6pm start time for the pretty light. We chatted about a ways to keep her happy like a late nap, snacks, and music. They brought her in a little wagon and was super easy to load their stuff and her in!
My family photo mini sessions are a little bit different than the rest. I don’t do just 15 minute sessions because I need a little time for the kiddos to get comfortable and I always felt like the story was incomplete. My goal is to tell a little family story and capture the special connections between you and your loved ones. I feel like 30 minutes is still limiting, but I can do it!
If you just want a Christmas Card shot, with everyone smiling and posing I may not be your photographer, and that’s ok. Although I always get that shot, I want to go a little deeper than that.
I capture the details, I get individual shots of the kids, mom and dad alone, some playing, some cuddles, and a few posed shots. I guide you the entire time, and I also let moments unfold naturally. Let the kids play! Try not to stress before the shoot because they pick up on that energy. If someone dreads the photoshoot, that will also be noted in the kids subconscious. Tell them it’s a special family adventure, because it is!
I only offer my mini sessions at Lincoln Park in West Seattle because I consider it to be my studio. I do full family sessions in many more locations all over the state. Scroll to the end for a link to find out more about my mini and full family sessions.
I LOVE EARTHY TONES for photographing in nature. An entire ivory/brown color pallet makes me happy. Lighter colors stand out in trees
