Yearly Montana Trip- Missoula Montana Family Photographer
They don't refer to this place as “God’s Country” for no reason. Every year Montana takes my breath away. Somehow despite all of the beautiful places getting super expensive and busy, here I can find peace. Maybe it’s because I stay about an hour outside of Missoula in a tiny, quiet, beautiful little town every year. St. Ignatius is on the Flathead reservation, and it’s also an Amish town. The diversity of people is refreshing for a small town. The nature is unbeatable.
Also, shhhhh, don’t tell anyone.
Wild Horses. Thank you Uncle Ken for taking me on this gorgeous sunset drive.
Every year we shoot in this field outside of the Pow Wow in Arlee, Montana. This is the twelfth year I have gone and coincidently my niece Ahri is twelve. I cannot get over that. And her little brother is 8. How did they grow up so fast? They are so beautiful my heart cannot take it.
Nine Pipes, a beautiful wetlands with a number of ponds and mountains all around.
Arlee Celebration. We go every year.
Above is my favorite image from the trip.
Lake McDonald.
We spent an entire day on paddle boards. The water was freezing snow melt in the middle of summer, but we jumped in over and over again anyway. We spent a number of days swimming and paddleboarding at Mission Dam as well. Stunning country.
And my sweet niece took a photo of me! Otherwise there would be none, so I am grateful! And of course my little travel companion and bestest friend, Ezme the Pug. Thank you for being here with me!
I LOVE YOU MY AUNTIE NAE AND UNCLE KEN
