My Yearly Montana Trip - Missoula Family Photographer

Every year I visit my family who live just outside of Missoula Montana. My little niece Ahrianna -is my soul mate, we are kindred spirits. Since she was one year old I began this tradition. I always have photographed her but this year, at age TEN, was a gamechanger for our adventures and photos. We had such a blast on this trip. I loaded up my trusty van and my little pug Ezme, and we hit the road for a 11 day trip to Montana. Ahrianna and her little brother are just little gems. I’m such a proud auntie.

Ahrianna and her family are Salish Kootenai, and we enjoy going to the Arlee Pow Wow Celebration every year. This happens over the week of Fourth of July. It is always a truly beautiful experience, one I cannot describe with photos or words. It’s just beyond anything I’ve ever done.

This year we also visited the GARNET GHOST TOWN - AAAMMMMAAZZING. I loved this place so much. Another highlight of my trip was the BISON RANGE RESTORATION just outside of Arlee. We also took a long two day adventure through Anaconda and Butte Montana. What a trip. Butte was so cool! We checked out the Butte’s Berkeley Pit- wow. I felt like I was in an old cowboy town.

We always do a family photo shoot, and it’s usually hot, so this year we did it in the water, it was a total blast.
